By car from Paramaribo:
Cross over the Wijdenboschbrug and drive towards Albina
After about 17 km you reach the village of Tamanredjo
Here you pass over 14 sleeping policemen (speed humps)
After the last of these speed humps, continue along the main road for 3.5 km
On the left-hand side of the road you see a board ‘HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE’
Turn to the right off the road opposite this board and follow the sand track for 700 m until you reach HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE
By car from Albina/Moengo:
From Albina follow the Oost-westverbinding in the direction of Paramaribo
You pass Moengo and Stolkertsijver, and the (new) bridge over the Commetewane Creek. From there it is a run of about 10 km
100 metres after the bridge over the Orleane Creek, you see on the right a board ‘HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE’
Turn left, off the road, and follow the sand track for 700 m until you reach HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE
By bicycle from Paramaribo:
From the town centre, follow the Anton Dragtenweg for its complete length until you reach Leonsberg
At Leonsberg you can cross the Suriname River by boat
From Nieuw Amsterdam ride in the direction of Alkmaar
On the way, at Marienburg, you can visit the former sugar factory where some remains are still to be seen. You can also cross over by tent boat to the Frederiksdorp Plantation, where you can view restored police houses and the plantation house
At Alkmaar, turn right and follow the long, straight road to Tamanredjo
In Tamanredjo at the crossroads turn left; you pass 8 sleeping policemen (speed humps)
After the last hump, continue along the main road for 3.5 km
On the left-hand side of the road you see a board ‘HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE’
Turn off the road to the right, opposite this board, and follow the sand track for 700 m until you reach HOTEL-RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE
